HOLA Everybody

So I was sitting at Buffalo Wild Wings with a few peeps from First Assembly.  Anne, Lindsey and I began talking about xanga and I realized that there are quite a few ppl that I am not in contact with very often that come on here and update fairly regularly. I just left a bunch of comments on ppl's sites whom i haven't spoken with or seen in awhile....hope u guys still remember who I am! lol.

Wow!  So its been EONS since I last posted anything...

I find myself pretty busy at work.  What I think happened wa that I replaced xanga with Facebook.  So my spare time is spent on there.

Monday's are so long and difficult.....

But weekends are my favorite!  This past weekend I went to Milwaukee and Chicago.  What a treat!

On Friday I went to this HUGE theater out by Waukesha (I believe).  Its called the Majestic theater.....It has MEGA screens and a child care facility, a dinner service so that you have waiters get your food for you, and VIP seeting (in other words super-compfy seats).  We didn't go all out this time, but hopefully we will get to treat ourselves next time. :)  Before the movie my sis, her b/f (Meche) and I went to UNO's...It was my first time and it didn't disappoint!

Picture 005 <<2 Lovebirds...so cute!

Picture 009 <<Monkey face...not so cute!

Saturday I went to Chicago w/ a bunch of people...9 of us total.  Anne and I decided we wanted to go ice skating out there and invite others if they were interested...It was a ton of fun.  I didnt know half of the people going into it, but you all know how I love to meet new faces.  So it worked out great.

We took the train down there.  Made a few pitstops at Starbucks and Urban Outfitters on State Street then finally made our way to Millenium Park Ice Rink.  YAY! Of course neither Anne nor I (very experienced skaters) fell on the ice.  We tried not to show everyone else up who went, so we spared them of our triple-lux-toed-sow-cow-jumps....HEEHEE!  After skating we satisfied our hunger w/ Giordannos....

OH! and how can I forget!!  I had GARRETT'S popcorn for the 1st time this weekend....Now let me tell you, this is THE BEST POPCORN IN THE WORLD!  I'm not a big fan of popcorn, but this stuff was the bomb-diggity!!

Lots of news, not enough time.

Last time I wrote on here it was right before the austin trip.  Well i'm home safe and sound now...after spending an extra 3 days only to get back the night before Thanksgiving...WHEW!  That one was a close call.  But the band made it back.  Safe and sound.  A little wiser, much closer, and appreciative of our homes.

I know Im extremely late on this, but Thanksgiving was a BLAST!  This is the first Thanksgiving in over 7 years that my family has actually been together on Thanksgiving....all I can say is that the Lord is doing a work in the lives of the loved ones around me and I can't wait to see what unfolds...I know that Lord has good things in store!  We also had some friends over.  James and Meche (my sis' bf) came over to join us...twas a sweet time.

The next day we all continued our Thanksgiving tradition by going to Cedarburg, WI.  A tiny town filled with Christmas cheer.  Its very historic, w/ little shops all over.  The shops have awesome unique jewelry and little trinkets.  It just gets us all in the Christmas spirit. :D

...What else is new on the Horizon????

Tomorrow (Tuesday) I have another job interview!! YES!

This one is working at Midwestern Cancer Hospital.  Doing what? you may ask?  Im not exactly sure yet.  All I know at this point is that I would be working in the chaplain Dept under Rev. Percy McCray, who is a powerful man of God.  It would be an honor if the Lord blessed me with a position where I could make an impact on the lives of those in need.  I am praying that if this is the right job, the one I have been holding out for, that I would go into that interview tomorrow with the favor of the Lord and take that job!

I think it would be so awesome to get to work at a place like that doing something in ministry.  We shall see.  I'm excited...can u tell?  But im trying to not get ahead of myself and be wise about recieving the necessary job description before pursuing this position further.

Thank you to everyone who called or sent me messages to help through the loss of my grampa.  It has truely helped.  The funeral went really well...about as well as one could go...I was more involved than initially anticipated though...which is fine.  But I ended up creating the program/announcement, developing pictures, learning and singing 3 songs for the service and helping with some kitchen/food duties.  Wow! try saying that 3 times fast. ;)

Good thing is I got to see alot of fam that I don't otherwise see.

Here's some stats and things I learned yesterday:

1. I met  and realized that I have a ton of cousins that not only live in kenosha, but also live within blocks of each other and of me!...But somehow we never run into each other.

2.  I learned that my grampa has 42 grandkids (including myself), 104 great grandkids, and 4 great-great grandkids....I have a TON of cousins!!

3. I found out one of my cousins is the corporate head chef for the midwest district of the Cheesecake Factory! yummm...He is also trying to get on the Iron Chef.  How cool would that be!?

4.  I have a few cousins that are cops and/or undercover cops.  Thats exciting!

5.  My father is a strong man.  I knew this already, but have seen it exemplified several times over the course of this loss.

6.  That my Aunts are all very, very short.  Please tell me why I am so stinking tall?  I stant 5' 6.5" - towering over my little 5' or less tias.

Have pics. but I'll post later.

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE BAND AS WE TRAVEL TO AUSTIN TO BE PART OF THE CROSS FESTIVAL!

BE BACK ON MONDAY NIGHT!!!
